Today is the birthday of our country. Are you proud to be a part of this country? These days, many people are not happy with how things are going. I just saw on the news today that only 39% of Americans are proud to actually be American. Where do you stand? I can honestly say that I WAS proud of that fact, but now I’m not so sure. Our country is turning into something that I’m not sure I want to associate with. What our country needs is prayer – for the people, for the government, for the health of the nation. God’s promise to Solomon in II Chronicles 7:14 is that for those who are called by His name humble themselves and pray, and seek His face, He will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. Do you think this promise holds true today? I sure do!
